Stock Heatmap
A heatmap of S&P 500 stocks shows at a glance who is winning and who is losing in the American market. Each square is a company: size represents market value, color shows the day's change (green = up, red = down). It is the fastest way to read market sentiment without scanning hundreds of tickers.
How to read it & why it matters
Why it matters: the S&P 500 holds the largest US companies — technology, finance, health care, energy. When the map turns red, investors are selling risk; when green, there is appetite to buy. The sector pattern (grouped squares) reveals where money is flowing in or out before the headlines do.
